Fresh Ink at Illusion Theater

Fresh Ink at Illusion Theater

When I’m on stage, connected to my emotions and vibrating with everything and everyone, something inside me falls into place.
That’s why I chose to become an actress.

This weekend, during the public readings at Fresh Inks, in the search for Federico, I felt it again.
It was a new step in the development of this play.

Federico, My Love, a new play I wrote inspired by the life and work of Federico García Lorca, was presented as part of the Fresh Ink Series at Illusion Theater. The piece, created for two actors and a musician, follows an actress who invokes Lorca’s presence to explore his work and legacy, while also exploring her own story.

This week, working with the beautiful team that came together, Federico, My Love began to come to life on stage.

I’m deeply grateful to Carlyle Brown for believing in me and in this play,
to José and Daniel for bringing their talent and generosity to the stage,
to Illusion Theater for opening its doors and making this opportunity possible,
and to everyone who came with curiosity and an open heart.
